Vietnam enhances agricultural and forestry value chains

Various regions in Vietnam are implementing strategies to enhance agricultural and forestry value chains. In Lâm Đồng, a cashew production model led by Lê Văn Bảy has successfully achieved 4-star OCOP (One Commune, One Product) certification. The model processes approximately 250 tons of products annually from 1,000 tons of raw materials, supported by a 500-hectare raw material area and partnerships with cooperatives like the Đồng Tâm Agricultural Cooperative.

In Lào Cai, provincial authorities are preparing to enter the forest carbon credit market by developing services for carbon absorption and greenhouse gas emission reduction. Meanwhile, in Yên Bái, research into processing technologies for cardamom and black cardamom is being utilized to increase the value of local forest products and support community livelihoods.
