Vietnam enhances official policy communication in Lao Cai and Hanoi

Local authorities in Vietnam are intensifying efforts to disseminate official information and policy communications to ensure social consensus and grassroots engagement.

In Lao Cai province, Party newspapers are being distributed directly to village cells and remote communities. This initiative aims to bridge the information gap in areas with limited internet access, providing local officials and respected community members with reliable sources to understand and communicate government policies to citizens. The province has centralized the procurement of Party publications and integrated reading habits into the annual evaluation criteria for Party organizations.

In Hanoi, the City Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department held a conference to coordinate media tasks for September 2026. The meeting focused on improving policy communication across key sectors, including education, healthcare, culture, and social insurance. Key priorities include organizing public school structures for the upcoming academic year, implementing free health screenings, and expanding health insurance coverage to ensure equitable access to essential services.
