Vietnam establishes pricing mechanism for currency printing 2020-2024
The Vietnamese government has issued Resolution No. 40/2026/NQ-CP, establishing a mechanism for determining the prices of printed and minted currency products for the 2020–2024 period. This regulation facilitates the payment and settlement of costs between the State Bank of Vietnam and various currency printing and minting facilities.
Under this mechanism, printing and minting facilities are responsible for compiling all legal and valid documentation related to their activities in accordance with corporate income tax laws. These documents must be submitted to the State Bank of Vietnam for appraisal. Following the appraisal and consultation with the Ministry of Finance regarding pricing, the State Bank of Vietnam will officially issue product prices to serve as the basis for financial settlements.
The State Bank of Vietnam holds responsibility for the appraisal and pricing results, while the National Currency Printing Plant and the Agribank Service One Member Limited Liability Company are tasked with ensuring the accuracy and legality of the submitted documentation. The Ministry of Finance and other relevant agencies will oversee the process to ensure compliance with price laws.
