Vietnam establishes working groups for science and digital transformation

Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng, acting as Head of the Central Steering Committee for Science, Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation, has signed Decision No. 15-QĐ/BCĐTW to establish four specialized working groups.

The first group, focused on digital transformation, data, public services, administrative reform, and Project 06, will be led by Minister of Public Security Lương Tam Quang. This group is tasked with coordinating digital transformation across the political system, developing digital infrastructure, and managing data to replace paper-based processes. It will also oversee electronic identification and VNeID implementation.

The second group, dedicated to science, technology, innovation, and strategic technology, will be led by Deputy Prime Minister Hồ Quốc Dũng. Its mandate includes researching breakthrough policies, promoting the commercialization of strategic technologies, and fostering links between research institutes, universities, and businesses.

A third group, focused on finance, investment, and resources, will be led by Minister of Finance Ngô Văn Tuấn. This group will advise on financial mechanisms and resource development to support scientific and technological progress. A fourth group will focus on cybersecurity.
