Vietnam expands digital payment solutions with Visa and MSB initiatives

Visa highlighted its push for smarter, QR‑based and cross‑border digital payments at Vietnam's Digital Finance Day 2026. The company showcased solutions such as Visa Pay, Scan to Pay, QR Connector, Tap to Pay and upcoming features like Click to Pay and Passkey, aiming to help small and medium enterprises and boost tourism‑related transactions.

MSB introduced its MSBPay On POS system at Ho Chi Minh City’s Thu Đức Multi‑Specialty Hospital. The cashless solution lets patients and caregivers settle fees via QR codes or card‑free POS terminals, even without a bank account or smartphone. The rollout is part of MSB’s broader effort to create a nationwide cash‑less health‑care ecosystem, improving patient convenience and automating hospital revenue management.
