Vietnam Expands Free Bus Online Booking and Revises Railway Ticket Display

VinBus announced that from 12:00 on 19 July 2026 passengers on the free Hanoi‑Ha Long “Hạ Long Xanh” bus route can book seats through the Green SM app. Booking is limited to two seats per account, can be made up to a day in advance and at least 30 minutes before departure. The service remains 100 % free, operating as two branches (HLX1 and HLX2) with specified schedules and a 27‑seat capacity per bus.

The Vietnam Railway Authority will, from 10 July 2026, issue boarding cards that no longer display the ticket price. All other travel details (train number, stations, date, time, seat, passenger name) stay unchanged. The change aims to reduce price‑comparison confusion; fare information remains accessible via the online ticketing portal, electronic receipts, or customer service. Ticket pricing continues to vary by purchase time, class, and promotions.
