Vietnam expands legislative ties and diplomatic outreach in Europe
Vietnam’s foreign ministry announced a range of new diplomatic initiatives. The country is deepening legislative cooperation with the Czech Republic, pledging regular parliamentary exchanges and joint law‑making workshops. An honorary Vietnamese consul was appointed in Antwerp, Belgium, strengthening bilateral ties. Vietnamese officials also met with ambassadors from South Korea and Palestine, discussed joint border patrols with Laos and China, and highlighted a national push for digital transformation of the state apparatus. In response to the recent earthquakes in Venezuela, Vietnam offered tailored assistance and sent condolences to the interim president. These actions reflect a broader effort to broaden Vietnam’s international partnerships across Europe and Asia.
