VNeID app adds vehicle registration and electricity services

Vietnam’s national electronic identification application, VNeID, has introduced several new digital features to enhance public services. The Ministry of Public Security’s C06 Department announced the addition of a “Vehicle Registration” feature, allowing citizens with Level 2 electronic identification accounts to integrate, view, and track their vehicle registration information directly on the app.

Additionally, Vietnam Electricity (EVN) has officially rolled out 12 public electricity services nationwide via VNeID. These services include applications for new low-voltage and medium-voltage power supplies, changing contract holders, modifying electricity usage purposes or quotas, and managing contract terminations or reconnections. These updates aim to simplify administrative procedures and provide more convenient digital access for citizens and businesses.

Users are also reminded to verify their digital health insurance information within the app’s “Document Wallet” to ensure continuity of medical benefits, as some users have reported expired or incorrect data.
