Vietnam expels former Deputy Minister and two officials from the Party

The Secretariat of the Communist Party of Vietnam has decided to expel three officials from the Party following investigations into political and moral misconduct.

The expelled individuals include Trần Quý Kiên, former Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment; Nguyễn Văn Dũng, Director of the Department of Science and Technology in Bắc Ninh; and Nguyễn Thị Gái, General Director of Dong Nai Rubber Corporation.

The Secretariat cited degradation in political ideology, ethics, and lifestyle, as well as violations of Party regulations and State laws regarding the performance of duties. The officials were also found to have violated regulations concerning anti-corruption, waste prevention, and the responsibility to set an example. These actions were described as causing serious consequences and negatively impacting the reputation of the Party and local authorities. Authorities have been requested to implement corresponding administrative disciplinary measures in coordination with the Party's actions.
