Vietnam exports reach $463.7 billion through mid-October

Vietnam's total export turnover reached $463.7 billion as of October 15, 2026, representing a 25.9% increase compared to the same period in 2025. This performance provides a foundation for the country to pursue an annual export growth target of 15-16%, or approximately $546-550 billion.

In the first half of October, the trade balance recorded a surplus of $1.82 billion. Total imports from the beginning of the year through October 15 reached $481.37 billion, a 37.2% increase year-on-year.

Key growth drivers include the electronics, computers, and components sector, which saw a significant surge in September. Analysts from MB Securities (MBS) expect continued double-digit export growth through the end of the year, driven by global demand for artificial intelligence (AI) investments and market diversification into the European Union and South Korea.
