Vietnam family’s organ donation after father’s death provides organs for three patients

After the death of his father, L. V. H. (born 1963), at Thanh Nhan Hospital in Vietnam, his son Khánh signed a consent form authorising the donation of his father's organs. Doctors explained the process and the family decided to proceed.

The donation enabled a liver transplant for a patient with end‑stage liver disease at Military Hospital 108 and cornea transplants for two recipients awaiting surgery at the Central Eye Hospital. The case highlights the impact of organ donation on saving multiple lives and the humanitarian considerations involved.

Family members described the decision as emotionally difficult but hopeful, noting that the father's legacy would continue through the lives saved.
