Vietnam father charged after beating 9‑year‑old son with pipe in Quang Tri

On 20 July 2026, police in Minh Hóa commune, Quang Tri province, treated a 9‑year‑old boy for multiple bruises on his buttocks, back, arms and eye. The child's father, 34‑year‑old Đ. X. H., later turned himself in, confessing that he struck the child with a plastic pipe after the boy forgot his school bag.
