Vietnam Fatherland Front strengthens community engagement and fund management

The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) is implementing various initiatives to strengthen community ties, legal awareness, and the management of social welfare funds across the country.

In Quang Tri province, the VFF has focused on legal dissemination and mediation. By utilizing diverse communication channels such as local radio and digital platforms, the organization has conducted over 2,500 propaganda sessions, reaching more than 171,000 people to improve understanding of civil procedures and mediation laws. This effort aims to resolve local disputes and foster social consensus.

At a national level, the VFF is conducting training conferences to enhance the management of voluntary contributions and social funds, such as the ‘For the Poor’ Fund. These sessions focus on ensuring transparency and compliance with government decrees regarding the collection and distribution of relief funds, particularly in response to natural disasters and extreme weather events like Typhoon Yagi.

On a grassroots level, local Fatherland Front committees are working to act as bridges between the government and citizens, focusing on resolving community conflicts and gaining public support for urban development and planning projects.
