Vietnam Fine Arts Museum hosts exhibition on national construction era

The Vietnam Fine Arts Museum is hosting an exhibition titled ‘Memories of Unforgettable Years,’ which showcases approximately 50 artworks documenting the nation's construction and labor efforts between the 1950s and 1980s. The collection features diverse media, including oil painting, lacquer, silk, pigments, graphics, and sculpture.

Nguyen Anh Minh, Director of the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, stated that these artistic legacies serve as a visual treasury of the nation, helping current and future generations understand the past and appreciate the present. The works capture various aspects of life, including agricultural activities, industrialization, and the spirit of solidarity during periods of both production and combat.

Featured themes include rural life through works such as ‘Cấy’ by Nguyen Van Binh and ‘Tát nước chống hạn’ by Nguyen Tu Nghiem, as well as industrial progress depicted in pieces like ‘Workers in a Mine’ by Nguyen Si Tot. The exhibition aims to honor the dedication of the Vietnamese people and inspire national pride and responsibility in modern generations.
