Vietnam focuses on financial wellbeing for women entrepreneurs

In Vietnam, enhancing the financial wellbeing of women entrepreneurs is being identified as a key driver for business resilience. Beyond basic financial inclusion, the goal is to provide women with the capacity to manage daily obligations, withstand economic disruptions, and invest in future growth.

Case studies of female leaders illustrate the necessity of evolving financial services. Luong Ngoc Ha, founder of Star Vietnam Global Electrical Machinery, highlighted how expanding operations across Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia requires flexible working capital and digital banking tools. She also noted that as transactions move online, cybersecurity becomes increasingly vital.

Similarly, Tran Thi Thu Trang, general director of Song Ma Company, demonstrated how targeted bank support can facilitate long-term scaling. After securing an initial loan from VPBank to expand a fleet of vehicles, her company grew from 76 vehicles to nearly 700 before the pandemic.
