Vietnam Stock Exchange to transfer all HNX stocks to HOSE

The Vietnam Stock Exchange (VNX) has announced a timeline for restructuring the country's stock trading market. Under this plan, all stocks currently listed on the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) will be transferred to the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE).

The final trading day for these stocks on the HNX is scheduled for December 23, 2026. Following this session, affected stocks will undergo a two-day trading suspension on December 24 and 25, 2026. The first trading session for these transferred stocks on the HOSE will take place on December 28, 2026.

This transition follows a Ministry of Finance circular regarding the reorganization of stock, bond, and derivative markets. Under the new model, HOSE will serve as the primary organizer for stocks, fund certificates, and covered warrants. HNX will pivot its focus toward other critical market components, including the bond market, derivatives, and the UPCoM market for unlisted public companies.
