Vietnam Football Federation officials meet women's national team

Tran Quoc Tuan, President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), met with the Vietnam women's national football team to offer encouragement ahead of their training camp in China. The team is currently preparing for the women's football competition at ASIAD 2026, which is scheduled to take place in Japan in mid-September.

During the meeting, President Tran Quoc Tuan praised the team's disciplined training efforts under head coach Hoang Van Phuc. He noted that the squad is entering a transitional phase, integrating young players from U17 and U20 Asian championships and the national league to build a foundation for the next four-year cycle.

The VFF leadership emphasized the importance of improving professional capacity to compete with the increasing investments in women's football across West, Central, and East Asia. The team's upcoming itinerary in China includes friendly matches to refine tactics and physical conditioning before the Asian Games.
