The Vietnam national football team has successfully defended its ASEAN Cup title, defeating Thailand in the final to secure its fourth regional championship. For this achievement, the Southeast Asian Football Federation (AFF) awarded the team a total of 620,000 USD, which includes a 500,000 USD winner's prize and 120,000 USD in participation support. This amount is approximately 5.2 billion VND more than the runner-up prize awarded to Thailand.

Following the victory, the Vietnamese government, through the Prime Minister, has recognized the team's efforts with an award of 300 million VND. Head coach Kim Sang-sik noted that while the achievement is historic, the team must continue to address defensive vulnerabilities and organizational weaknesses to compete at higher levels.
