Vietnam football fans queue for tickets ahead of Cambodia match
The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) opened direct ticket sales for the ASEAN Cup 2026 group‑stage match between Vietnam and Cambodia at its headquarters on Le Quang Dao Street, Hanoi. Four price tiers were offered – VND 200,000, 300,000, 400,000 and 500,000 – with sales windows on 5‑6 August (morning and afternoon) and a final window on match day, 7 August, until 20:00. Fans arrived from early morning; one supporter travelled from Bac Ninh at 5 a.m. and waited five hours to purchase seven tickets. Long queues persisted throughout the day as many could not obtain tickets online.
A secondary market quickly emerged, with resale prices rising 100,000‑200,000 VND above face value, especially for the higher‑priced sections. Sellers on social‑media groups posted inflated offers, and reports of scams and counterfeit tickets increased, prompting officials to urge buyers to use official channels. Security rules prohibit weapons, fireworks and other prohibited items at My Dinh Stadium, where the match will be played at 20:00 on 7 August. Vietnam currently leads Group A with seven points and needs a win to guarantee top‑spot and progression to the semi‑finals.
