ASEAN Hyundai Cup 2026 kicks off with tickets, trophy tour and team preparations

The ASEAN Hyundai Cup 2026, marking its 30th anniversary, will be contested by ten Southeast Asian national teams from 24 July to 26 August. Match tickets went on sale ahead of the tournament.

A trophy tour visited Hanoi on 18‑19 July, featuring a Hyundai car exhibition, before moving to Jakarta for several stops in late July and August.

Vietnam, the defending champions, completed a three‑match training camp in South Korea, winning all three friendlies and highlighting the form of Nguyễn Xuân Son and Nguyễn Đình Bắc under coach Kim Sang‑sik.

Indonesia’s opening group‑stage match is set for 27 July at Pakansari Stadium in Bogor against Cambodia, a side that has never advanced beyond the group stage in ten appearances. Historically Indonesia have won 16 of 17 meetings.

Indonesia’s provisional 50‑player list has been trimmed toward a 26‑man final squad, with naturalised striker Mitchell Baker among the newcomers alongside established players such as Marselino Ferdinand and Nadeo Argawinata.
