Vietnam-Germany tech cooperation opportunities identified

German expert Alexander Schonl, CEO of Solid Scale Solutions, has identified significant opportunities for technology cooperation between Vietnamese businesses and German companies. He noted that Germany's strong small- and medium-sized enterprise (SME) sector is undergoing rapid digital transformation and requires more IT specialists to manage digital platforms, facing a shortage of nearly 80,000 professionals.

Vietnam is well-positioned to meet this demand due to its skilled STEM human resources and experience providing IT services to international clients. The nature of the partnership is evolving, with German companies moving beyond basic software outsourcing toward more complex tasks such as software engineering and product development. Schonl emphasized that strategic partnerships will rely on technical expertise, cultural understanding, and mutual trust.
