Vietnam Government proposes amendments to Cinema Law
The Vietnamese Government has submitted a draft project to the 16th National Assembly to amend several laws within the culture, sports, and tourism sectors. A key focus of this proposal is the amendment of the Cinema Law, which aims to address practical bottlenecks and mobilize social resources for the industry.
The proposed changes involve amending 8 out of 50 articles in the Cinema Law. These amendments focus on three primary areas: improving regulations regarding film production using the state budget, streamlining administrative procedures, and enhancing the management of film distribution in digital and online spaces.
These adjustments are intended to help the Vietnamese film industry adapt to the rapidly changing digital environment and ensure better state management of film content and cinematic events.
