Vietnam Green Logistics Alliance formed to promote electric vehicle transition

GOZO, Kim Long Motor, VTTC Logistics, and Ahamove have announced the formation of the Vietnam Green Logistics Alliance in Ho Chi Minh City. The alliance aims to integrate various links in the logistics chain, including electric vehicles, warehousing, cargo sources, finance, and technology, to facilitate a transition toward greener operations.

The initiative comes as Ho Chi Minh City prepares to pilot a Low Emission Zone (LEZ) in central areas starting July 1, 2027. Data indicates that while road transport accounts for 75.2% of goods volume in Vietnam by 2025, trucks and buses—comprising only 2% of registered vehicles—generate over 65% of greenhouse gas emissions from the road transport sector.

Under the partnership, Kim Long Motor will provide electric commercial vehicles, such as the GK48-EV van. VTTC Logistics will manage warehousing, fulfillment, and multimodal transport, focusing on backhaul models to reduce empty vehicle runs. Ahamove will connect vehicles with urban last-mile delivery needs. The alliance will also utilize the GOZO eMover platform to optimize routes and manage operational and emission data, while exploring financial solutions to support fleet transitions.
