Vietnam health program provides free screenings for 1,000 students

Over 1,000 students in disadvantaged mountainous regions of Vietnam received free health examinations and consultations to mark the start of the 2026-2027 school year. The initiative, part of the “For a Healthier Vietnam” program, was organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Young Physicians Association in collaboration with Lifebuoy and local youth unions.

Activities were concentrated in Lai Chau, Lao Cai, and Quang Tri provinces. In Lai Chau, specifically at Phuc Than Primary School, the program provided health guidance, 1,000 hygiene kits, and 1,000 pairs of shoes. Additionally, 300 million VND was allocated for facility repairs at three school sites, alongside 150 million VND worth of hand wash products and 50 scholarships.

In Lao Cai, 500 students at Y Ty boarding schools received health screenings and hygiene supplies, with 50 million VND provided for facility upgrades and hygiene products. In Quang Tri, support was also extended to students at the Lang Cat school site to assist with health and educational needs.
