Vietnam health stations conduct widespread student and community screenings

Health stations across various localities in Vietnam, including Lao Cai province, are conducting extensive health screening programs for students and local residents. These initiatives aim to provide timely medical access and complete electronic health records.

In Thanh Sen Ward, health officials have coordinated with schools to examine over 2,500 preschool children and nearly 2,000 primary and secondary students. Similarly, Cam Binh Commune has screened over 4,500 students, identifying common issues such as dental problems, skin conditions, and vision impairments. In the mountainous Son Tay commune, medical teams have been deployed despite personnel shortages.

In Lao Cai, the Department of Health has organized community outreach, including specialized sessions in Si Ma Cai to improve population quality through education on prenatal diagnosis, Thalassemia prevention, and reproductive health. In Ta Van commune, health workers have already screened 4,718 people across 14 villages and are working toward a 75% screening rate for residents and 100% coverage for students.
