Vietnam highway project to connect Gia Binh Airport and Hanoi

A major infrastructure project in Vietnam is under development to connect Gia Binh International Airport with Hanoi. The highway, spanning approximately 27.7 km through Bac Ninh province, features a complex design that requires a high number of bridge structures.

According to project plans, the route will include between 63 and 64 bridge structures. This high number is attributed to the road's complex multi-level interchanges and large cross-section rather than just crossing large rivers. The design includes 10 lanes with a speed limit of 120 km/h and a total investment of approximately 50,235 billion VND.

The infrastructure includes 13 bridges on the main route, 10 on parallel roads, and a significant number of structures—up to 38—dedicated to complex interchanges to allow vehicles to change direction without intersecting high-speed traffic.
