Vietnam highway sees truck tire blowout and landslide‑trapped car

A truck travelling at the maximum speed of 100 km/h on a Vietnamese highway experienced a rear‑tire burst, causing the vehicle to lose balance, spin and roll onto its side. The driver, aided by a dash‑cam view, avoided a collision and the incident caused no reported injuries or property damage.

Later, heavy rain triggered a landslide on the road from Nậm Tăm to Lai Châu city, burying a small car in mud. The three occupants – a couple and a child – escaped unharmed. Local authorities dispatched specialists and coordinated with emergency services to clear the blockage and warned of further landslide and flooding risks along several provincial routes.
