Vietnam honors residential committees for national security efforts
The Ministry of Public Security and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee held a national conference to commend exemplary residential Front Working Committees for their contributions to the ‘All People Protect Fatherland Security’ movement for the 2016–2026 period.
Co-chaired by Deputy Minister of Public Security Le Van Tuyen and Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Ha Thi Nga, the event highlighted the role of local residential areas in identifying and resolving security and order issues at the grassroots level. Officials noted that while socio-economic achievements are significant, criminal methods are becoming increasingly sophisticated, necessitating strong community involvement.
The conference recognized 54 collectives and 34 individuals with certificates of merit for their efforts in legal propaganda, conflict mediation, crime reporting, and supporting vulnerable populations.
