Vietnam hosts awards ceremony for “Tell the Story of Vietnam” writing contest

The award ceremony for the “Tell the Story of Vietnam” writing competition was held in Hanoi on August 28. Organized by Dan Viet Newspaper in collaboration with the Department of Grassroots Information and External Information, the event celebrated diverse perspectives on the country's culture, history, and transformation.

The competition received over 1,200 entries from authors across 34 provinces in Vietnam, Vietnamese citizens living abroad, and foreign residents fluent in Vietnamese. Out of these submissions, 21 works were selected for awards. Notable participants included 96-year-old Major General Phan Van Lai and 8-year-old Trinh Anh Tu.

Organizers stated the competition serves as a bridge to enrich Vietnam's image both domestically and internationally. The initiative aligns with national strategies to promote Vietnam's image to the world through personal experiences and cultural storytelling.
