Vietnam hosts Camel Cup in Quang Tri and Barefoot Beach Run in Da Nang attracting thousands

In early August 2026, the coastal city of Dong Hoi in Quang Tri province will become the focal point of Vietnam’s sports‑tourism push with a twin‑event series. The Aqua Warriors Quang Tri 2026 – Camel Cup and the Quang Tri Amazing Marathon 2026 – Camel Cup, sponsored by Camel Beer, are scheduled for 31 July to 2 August and are expected to draw more than 4,000 athletes. The programme includes Olympic‑distance swim‑run races, sprint formats, junior and kids categories, and marathon routes that pass landmarks such as the Nhat Le Bridge, the Vo Nguyen Giáp coastal road and the historic Điện Biên Phủ site.

On 26 July 2026, Da Nang’s My An beach hosted the Barefoot Beach Run 2026, a 4‑km sand race organised by the Da Nang tourism and sports authorities together with the Ariyana International Convention Center. Nearly 2,000 participants – a mix of domestic runners, expatriates and international visitors – took part, emphasizing health, community connection and the city’s image as a vibrant sports‑tourism destination. The race was followed by a breakfast food festival showcasing local and international cuisine.
