Vietnam Hosts Children’s ‘Arms of Friendship’ Festival with Laos and Cambodia

The eighth Vietnam‑Laos‑Cambodia Children’s Festival opened in Ho Chi Minh City on 28 July 2026 under the theme “Arms of Friendship”. The three‑nation event brought together 120 child delegates – 49 from Laos, 19 from Cambodia and 52 from Vietnamese provinces – along with 100 local participants. Organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Young Communists, the festival runs until 30 July and features cultural, artistic and educational activities that showcase each country’s heritage, history and tourism. Officials highlighted the programme’s role in strengthening traditional ties and fostering the next generation’s understanding of regional cultures. Participants such as 14‑year‑old Laotian delegate Le Minh Hang expressed pride in presenting Vietnamese culture to new friends.
