Vietnam hosts exhibitions on maritime islands and cultural heritage

Multiple photography exhibitions and book launches in Vietnam are highlighting the nation's maritime territories and cultural heritage.

A collection of over 50 works organized by the Soldier Photography Club and the Vietnam Veterans Newspaper showcases the lives of naval forces, coast guards, and border guards. The exhibition captures training activities, patrols, and the daily lives of residents in areas such as the Truong Sa Islands and DK1 platforms, emphasizing the connection between the military and local populations.

Separately, photographer Nguyễn Á hosted an exhibition at the Vietnam Women's Museum to launch two photo books: ‘Stories of the Homeland's Seas and Islands’ and ‘UNESCO-Recognized Intangible Cultural Heritages.’ The latter documents 17 UNESCO-recognized heritages, including Hue Royal Court Music and the Gong Culture of the Central Highlands. These works represent decades of documentation of Vietnam's landscapes, people, and cultural traditions.
