Vietnam hosts workshop to prepare for APEC 2027 presidency

The Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam organized a workshop in Hanoi titled ‘APEC Vietnam 2027: A New Era of Growth - Productivity, Resilience, and Integration’. The event aimed to consult experts on Vietnam’s priorities and cooperative initiatives for its upcoming APEC year in 2027.

Dr. Nguyen Hung Son, Director of the Diplomatic Academy, noted that global economic fluctuations, strategic competition, and rising protectionism require new methods of regional economic cooperation. Experts emphasized the need to strengthen consensus and seek new growth drivers. Dr. Can Van Luc, Chief Economist at BIDV, highlighted the necessity of innovating growth models by improving investment efficiency, technology absorption, and innovation to enhance regional productivity.
