Vietnam implements anti-corruption and administrative reforms
Authorities in Vietnam are implementing synchronized solutions to prevent corruption and enhance administrative efficiency through decentralization and digital transformation.
In efforts to combat corruption, regional authorities have focused on transparency in managing public finances, assets, and personnel. Measures include the use of specialized software, public posting of information at headquarters and via electronic portals, and the issuance of new regulatory documents to standardize internal procedures. Administrative reforms and the application of science and technology are being utilized to minimize waste and corruption. In the first half of the year, disciplinary actions were taken against officials for violating codes of conduct.
Simultaneously, Quang Ninh is advancing administrative reforms by delegating more authority to local levels to reduce intermediaries and shorten processing times for citizens and businesses. The province has established a network of public administration service centers at both city and commune levels. Administrative procedures are now accessible via national databases and QR codes, utilizing a '5-step' process in both physical and electronic environments. This digital approach includes digital signatures and real-time tracking, allowing users to monitor progress and receive electronic results.
