Vietnam accelerates digital transformation across various sectors

Vietnam is experiencing a widespread push for digital transformation, impacting education, local economies, and public administration. In provinces like Khanh Hoa, authorities have launched digital technology festivals and open data portals to allow citizens and businesses to access government data for free, aiming to make digital economy contributions reach 30-35% of GRDP by 2030.

In the education sector, regions such as Son Dong and Ha Tinh are implementing digital management systems, including electronic student records and AI-integrated administrative software, to improve efficiency following organizational restructuring.

At the community level, digital technology teams are working in ethnic minority areas in Dak Lak and Dong Nai to teach residents how to use essential digital tools, such as eTax Mobile and online public services. Meanwhile, in coastal areas like Tam Hai, local businesses are being trained to use digital management applications to track revenue and modernize commerce.

Additionally, the social insurance sector has successfully converted over 101 million social insurance codes into personal identification numbers, significantly reducing administrative processing times and paperwork for citizens.
