Vietnam implements new anti-corruption and waste prevention indices
Vietnam has introduced new measures to strengthen anti-corruption, waste prevention, and negativity control. Deputy Prime Minister Le Tien Chau signed Decision No. 47/2026/QD-TTg, establishing a set of indices to evaluate these efforts. The index utilizes a scoring system comprising positive points, negative points, and deduction criteria to ensure objective and transparent assessments across various agencies.
In a related regional development, the city's anti-corruption steering committee held its 18th session to review third-quarter results and plan for the final quarter of 2026. Led by Party Secretary Quan Minh Cuong, the committee emphasized a policy of “no forbidden zones, no exceptions.” Key focus areas include tightening discipline in land management, public investment, and natural resources, while improving the handling of complaints and the recovery of lost assets.
