Vietnam implements school traffic safety measures

Authorities in Vietnam are implementing various measures to ensure student safety and reduce traffic congestion during the new school year.

In Quang Ninh, the city has launched free electric bus routes to transport students in the Ha Long, Hong Gai, and Ha Tu wards. For the 2026-2027 school year, the initiative aims to alleviate pressure on urban traffic caused by the high volume of private vehicles during peak hours. The initial phase includes six routes using approximately 50 buses with 30 seats each, serving over 2,150 students.

In Ha Noi, educational institutions are focusing on law enforcement and safety skills. At Chuong Duong Primary and Secondary School, traffic police officers conducted interactive sessions with students. These programs teach essential skills such as proper helmet use, recognizing traffic signals, and safe pedestrian practices to foster long-term compliance with traffic laws.
