Vietnam improves coordination on security and fresh‑produce export

On 24 June in Hanoi, the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Home Affairs signed a cooperation protocol that formalises joint work on national security, political protection, cyber safety and related tasks. Ministers Lương Tam Quang and Đỗ Thanh Bình co‑chaired the ceremony and highlighted the move toward a regular, systematic collaboration between the two ministries.

Border authorities in Vietnam’s Lang Son province, especially at the Tan Thanh and Hữu Nghị gates, have kept a smooth flow of fresh agricultural exports such as durian, lychee, watermelon and mango. Customs, border guard and plant‑inspection agencies have applied streamlined procedures, digital systems and coordinated actions, clearing over 10 500 tonnes of produce—valued at more than US$2 million—daily and supporting exporters.
