Vietnam increases allowances for people with meritorious service

A new decree has been issued in Vietnam to regulate allowances and preferential treatment for people with meritorious service to the revolution and their relatives.

The regulation increases the standard level for preferential allowances from 2,789,000 VND to 3,012,000 VND. This standard serves as the basis for calculating monthly allowances, subsidies, and other preferential regimes for various categories of meritorious individuals, including wounded soldiers and those who participated in resistance wars or international duties.

The decree also outlines specific provisions for one-time allowances based on years of service. For calculations involving fractional years, periods of 6 months to less than 12 months are rounded up to one year, while periods under 6 months are calculated as 6 months.
