Vietnam industrial and coal sectors accelerate year-end production
Vietnam is seeing significant industrial and resource activity as businesses accelerate production to meet year-end targets. In Phu Tho province, the industrial and construction sector recorded a growth rate of 13.48% during the first nine months of 2026, accounting for over 50% of the provincial GRDP. The electronics, computer, and optical product manufacturing sector serves as a primary growth driver, supported by stable orders from global technology corporations including Apple, Dell, Samsung, and Google.
Simultaneously, the Vietnam National Coal-Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited (TKV) is intensifying coal consumption and supply management to meet annual plans and support the national economy. In the first nine months of 2026, direct coal sales reached over 39 million tons, while purchased coal totaled 49.7 million tons. Companies within the TKV group, such as the Cam Pha Port Logistics and Port Company, are focusing on infrastructure improvements and technological applications to enhance logistics capacity and meet high demand during the final quarter of the year.
