Vietnam invests 7 trillion VND in 77km coastal road project
A major coastal road project in Vietnam, spanning nearly 77km with a total investment of approximately 7,000 billion VND, is nearing completion after more than three years of construction. The project involves upgrading and expanding the Vung Tau - Binh Chau route (DT. 994), connecting the area from the 991B road to National Highway 55 in Binh Chau commune.
The road is designed to feature 6 to 8 lanes in several sections, creating a significant transport axis along the eastern coast. The infrastructure is expected to enhance connectivity between Ho Chi Minh City and coastal areas, facilitating the development of industrial zones, tourism, maritime services, and fisheries. Key locations along the route include Long Son, Vung Tau, Long Hai, Phuoc Hai, Loc An, Ho Tram, Ho Coc, and Binh Chau.
Construction is being accelerated with the goal of opening the route for traffic in the first quarter of 2027. Once fully operational, the road will integrate the coastal region with major transport networks and seaports.
