Vietnam issues directive to strengthen Party organizations in private sector

The Communist Party of Vietnam has issued Directive No. 12-CT/TW to innovate and improve the quality of Party organization building within the private economic sector. This move follows observations that the number of Party organizations and members in non-state enterprises remains low, often due to a lack of awareness among business owners and employees regarding their role.

The directive requires local Party committees and inspection commissions to include the development, management, and quality improvement of Party members in the private sector within their annual inspection and supervision programs.

In Thanh Hoa province, local authorities are implementing these measures by coordinating with the provincial Labor Federation to review the number of workers and identify those interested in Party activities, particularly within foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises. Local officials are also working to educate business owners on how establishing Party organizations can contribute to sustainable business development.
