Vietnam issues national data governance training framework
The Prime Minister of Vietnam has signed Decision No. 1555/QD-TTg, establishing a unified national training and development framework for data governance. The decision, effective immediately, aims to standardize data management competencies among officials, civil servants, and relevant personnel to support the implementation of the Data Law and the development of a digital government, digital economy, and digital society.
The framework provides a basis for ministries, sectors, and local authorities to organize training activities. It defines objectives, principles, program structures, and core content directions. The training is divided into specialized tracks, including programs for data governance, coordination, and execution, as well as basic data management training.
Targeted participants include leadership in digital transformation units, Chief Data Officers (CDOs), data owners, data stewards, and technical staff responsible for data architecture, quality, and protection. The initiative is based on various legal foundations, including the Law on Data, the Law on Cybersecurity, and the Law on Artificial Intelligence.
