The Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee and the Vietnam Journalists Association held a meeting in Hanoi to convene the Final Judging Council for the 17th ‘For the Cause of Great National Unity’ Journalism Award (2025–2026).

The competition received 2,767 entries across five categories—print, electronic, radio, television, and photojournalism—from over 100 central and local news agencies. Following the preliminary round, 116 works have been selected for final consideration. These include 32 print pieces, 41 electronic works, 15 radio entries, 21 television works, and 7 photojournalism entries.

The council aims to select 81 outstanding works to be honored at the award ceremony, with prizes categorized into Special, A, B, C, and Consolation awards.
