Vietnam launches 2026 National Journalism Award for culture

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam has officially launched the 4th annual “For the Cause of Developing Vietnamese Culture” National Journalism Award for 2026. Organized in coordination with Van Hoa Newspaper, the award aims to honor outstanding contributions from journalists and collectives in the fields of culture, information, family, sports, and tourism.

A notable new regulation for this edition is the strict exclusion of content generated entirely by artificial intelligence (AI). Additionally, the organizers will not accept journalistic photographs that have been manipulated using AI.

The award structure has been adjusted to prioritize quality over quantity, featuring a new Special Prize worth 100 million VND and a trip. Other prize tiers include First, Second, Third, and Consolation prizes. Submissions should focus on the implementation of national resolutions regarding cultural development and the role of culture in socio-economic progress.
