Vietnam launches 2026 Peak Month for the Poor
The Vietnam Fatherland Front has officially launched the 2026 Peak Month for the Poor, a nationwide initiative aimed at supporting impoverished households, near-poor families, and those in difficult circumstances.
During the national launch event, 30 organizations registered contributions totaling approximately 366.9 billion VND. Key partners in the program include the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) and the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank).
This social welfare campaign follows significant relief efforts in previous years, including the mobilization of over 5.3 trillion VND following Typhoon Yagi in 2024. The initiative seeks to provide both immediate emergency relief and long-term support for livelihood stability and housing in the face of increasing natural disasters.
