Vietnam launches VNeID integration for social insurance accounts

Vietnam's Social Insurance Administration (BHXH) announced that citizens can link their social insurance accounts to the VNeID digital identity application, allowing unemployment benefits, pensions and hardship assistance to be transferred directly to their bank or mobile‑money accounts.

The integration guides users through five steps: log in to the VNeID app, select “Social Insurance”, enter the bank or mobile‑money account number, input the six‑digit VNeID password, confirm personal information and submit. Officials say the feature enhances government efficiency, transparency and security and supports Vietnam’s wider digital‑government transformation.
