Vietnam leaders advance digital reforms and foreign policy agenda at party meetings
At a one‑year review of the two‑tier local government model, Hanoi Party Committee Secretary Trần Đức Thắng warned that citizens should not be required to submit paper documents when their information is already in the digital system, saying “Không được để xảy ra tình trạng dù đã có dữ liệu trên hệ thống số nhưng vẫn yêu cầu người dân nộp giấy tờ.” He outlined efforts to streamline procedures, adjust administrative structures and standardise over 2,000 processes to bring government services closer to the people.
Later, President and Party General Secretary Tô Lâm chaired a Politburo conference to implement Resolution No. 06‑NQ/TW on the Party’s 14th Congress foreign‑policy line. Senior officials, including Foreign Minister Lê Hoài Trung and Defense Deputy Minister Nguyễn Trường Thắng, presented the resolution’s core points and the proposed programme for Vietnam’s external relations.
Both meetings underscore the Party’s focus on modernising governance at home while shaping Vietnam’s diplomatic strategy abroad.
