Vietnam local communities focus on cultural infrastructure and traditions

In Hy Cuong commune, local authorities are addressing the need for improved cultural and sports infrastructure following administrative restructuring. As of July 1, 2025, the newly merged Hy Cuong commune covers nearly 24km2 with over 22,000 residents across 23 villages. While existing community houses are being utilized, many are aging or too small to meet diverse needs. The commune plans to prioritize building seven new community houses and upgrading facilities to provide spaces for elderly clubs, youth training, and children's play areas.

In Luc Hon commune, residents are actively preparing for the Golden Harvest Festival to promote local culture and tourism. Community members are working together to clean villages and prepare traditional activities, including making traditional cakes, embroidery, and folk singing. These grassroots efforts aim to preserve ethnic minority traditions and foster community solidarity while supporting local tourism.
