Vietnam localities provide free community health screenings

Local authorities in Vietnam are conducting organized free health screening programs to improve community wellness and health data management.

In Te Lo Commune, the People's Committee collaborated with the Yen Lac Regional Medical Center to provide general health check-ups for over 800 residents, including low-income households and policy-beneficiary families. The services include physical examinations, ENT, dental, eye, and gynecological screenings, as well as blood tests and nutritional counseling. The commune aims to expand these services to 100% of its target population by 2026.

In Ho Chi Minh City, Chanh Hung Ward implemented a concentrated health screening initiative specifically for the Cham ethnic minority community. Residents received screenings across five to seven medical specialties to facilitate early disease detection. The program utilizes a combination of public and private medical resources and integrates health data into the VNeID system to build a shared health database.
